1st Raspberry Jam

A talk in the Carnegie Room, Ipswich County Library with people on chairs

Our first event was a sell out and lead to the confidence to make plans for a second event here in Ipswich. To find out about us click the About Us Page.  To find out about our third event please check out the next event we are planning.

Having the Carnegie Room at Ipswich County Library was a great platform to launch the Raspberry Jam in Ipswich. Alison Wheeler and her team were very accommodating and have connections with technology that supported us greatly.

We had 10 displays and the separate Hub room showing the Carnegie Rooms in house 3D printer as well as the library’s own Raspberry Pi’s on display and in use for people to have a play and try out. We had talks and presentations from Clive Beale from the Raspberry Pi Foundation as well as other Jam organisers and the Ipswich Maker Space people who helped organise and run the event.

There was disappointment from two ladies that appeared out of the lift hoping to be part of a pop up cookery school!
